        Myauk Guni Temple
                                A stupa, also called a pagoda or chedi, is a massive structure, typically with a relic chamber inside. In 2016, a major earthquake hit central Burma destroying almost 400 temples. The Myauk Guni (North Guni) was severely damaged.

                                Dallol is the hottest place year-round on the planet and currently holds the record high average temperature for an inhabited location on Earth. In the region is the highly-active hydrothermal system of Dallol, with numerous springs, terrace systems and fumaroles.

        Abuna Yemata Guh
                                Abuna Yemata Guh is a monolithic church situated at a height of 2,580 metres. A strenuous ascent is followed by a climb up a vertical rock wall depending entirely on hand grips and foot holds crowned with a walk over a 50 cm wide ledge facing a cliff of 300 metres sheer drop.         U Bein bridge
                                The U Bein Bridge, on Taungthaman Lake, is a 1209 meters bridge built around 1850. It is believed to be the oldest and (once) longest teakwood bridge in the world. The bridge was built in curved shape in the middle to resist the assault of wind and water.

                                The term Dallol was coined by the Afar people and means dissolution or disintegration, describing a landscape of green acid ponds and iron oxide, sulfur and salt desert plains.

        Nyragongo lava lake
                                Nyiragongo is an active volcano with an elevation of 3,470 m. Nyiragongo's lava lake has at times been the most voluminous known lava lake in recent history. Whereas most lava flows move rather slowly and rarely pose a danger to human life, Nyiragongo's lava flows may race downhill at up to 100 km/h.
